My question for today is: Are your business objectives aligned with your employee goals?
Alignment is one of those ghastly management–speak words.
What it is about is:
1) employees having a clearly defined set of goals and;
2) why these are important to the company’s overall growth strategy.
At its simplest, this helps employees focus on the right things.
Who wouldn’t want this?
I’m going to let the question hang there rather than come up with a clever clogs answer. It is just so important to get your business objectives aligned with your employee goals.
